Some Stuff About Me.
I’m a Christian and the youngest of seven siblings, all of whom were homeschooled. My mom’s love and dedication kept us home, and I’m so grateful she made that choice. It allowed me the flexibility to complete my schoolwork on my own schedule and pursue opportunities like working for a construction company, where I’ve spent the past three years learning the basics of home renovation. Around the same time, my father generously gifted me an old barn to use as a woodworking shop. Without my mom’s homeschooling and my dad’s generosity, I wouldn’t have been able to take on these jobs or start woodworking. I owe so much to my amazing parents for giving me the freedom to explore my passions at such a young age.
In 2018, My cousin Justin, who graduated from Williamson College of the Trades in with a degree in Carpentry, joined me in turning the old horse stall on our property into a woodworking shop. He brought with him a collection of tools and machinery from his former shop teacher, and after years of hard work insulating and rebuilding the stall, we finally moved everything in. Together, we crafted a beautiful set of red oak barn doors for my parents before Justin got married and moved out. I was about 12 when I first got excited about woodworking, and since then, I’ve completed countless projects and learned so much.
I’m incredibly grateful to Justin for his generosity and dedication, and I’m excited to carry that forward by starting my own business!
